Job Title: Senior Research Technician or Senior
Research Associate
(full time)

Role

The Senior
Research Technician or Senior Research Associate will be part of the R&D
team working at Cell Medica’s site in Zurich-Schlieren, Switzerland. He or she
will be expected to work both independently and within a team, and will be
responsible for carrying out experiments and developing immunological assays for
the identification and selection of antibody fragments for cell therapy applications,
with a focus on primary cells.

Research activities


Support
activities related to the development CAR T cell products


Carry
out immunological assays (flow cytometry, primary T cells culturing and
characterisation, T cell functional assays, ELISA)


Work
cross-functionally with other team members and support phenotypic and
functional characterisation of multiple cell lines


Provide
expert advice to other researchers on flow cytometry assays and other
cell-based assays


Prepare
precise experimental protocols and reports, analyse data and maintain proper
documentation


Present
and interpret results at internal company meetings

Education and Experience


Technician
qualification or Masters of Science or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience
or equivalent experience (candidates with a PhD will not be considered)


Hands-on experience with
cell culture techniques, primary T cell functional assays and flow cytometry is
required


Experience with
standard immunological assays and molecular biology techniques is an advantage


Prior viral vector
production and cell transduction experience would be an advantage


Good computer skills
in FACSDiva, MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required
